Description
Sharper than the sides of a coin but with just as much detail in its edges, this cutting blade became an impressive training instrument for items that are thin and reflective.
First, we secured the blade in a vertical position, which ensured that it stayed still throughout the scanning. Placing it on a sheet of paper with text also allowed us to maintain smooth tracking on the blade’s thin edges. Another step that we took was to use erasable markers on flat areas of the blade вАФ this was done to differentiate between the blade’s two sides. And finally, a dulling spray was used on the blade’s otherwise reflective surface, which allowed us to scan that, too.
