Description
A watertight 3D-model of a well-detailed plastic cube produced by ProtoLabs. This object has a variety of different geometrical features including edges of varying thickness. Artec Spider captured them all successfully. Following the scanning, Artec Studio was used for easily aligning everything into one seamlessly integrated model.
By zooming in for a closer look at the edges of the text, as well as the numerous lines and shapes, both raised and sunken, the level of accuracy brought to life in the 3D model is excellent. If such an object were being reverse-engineered, this quality of model would be more than sufficient for modification in CAD/CAM software and 3D printing.
