Description

This screw was scanned with Artec Spider after being sprayed with gloss reducing powder. A pair of pliers held the screw vertically so it could be scanned from all sides in one scan. In terms of accuracy, such a scan would be sufficient for either reverse engineering or inspection. The measurements of the head, shank, thread length, thread angle, together with the threads and crests, not to mention the exact pitch, all the way down to the tip, everything here has been precisely reborn in the digital world as a remarkable 3D model ready for CAD/CAM work.
