Description

Captured with Artec Space Spider. This hub cap features a lot of rather flat monotone surfaces, so in order to make the scanning process easier, we used a pencil to drew crosses on it so as to create additional texture. This assisted both with tracking and further registration of the data. The crosses were easily removed during data processing. In addition, we used a rotating table with a texture-rich design to ensure that the scanner would maintain tracking even when capturing the thin metal wires.
