Description

A fine example of a symmetrical object that is next to impossible for the great majority of scanners to capture without the use of stickers. As a backdrop, Space Spider simply used the texture of the table that the gear was scanned on, and this avoided any registration problems.

By zooming in for a closer look, you can see the exact surface characteristics as if you were examining the original object itself. This level of accurate digital reproduction places such a 3D model into a category suitable for reverse engineering, quality inspection, as well as other design processes. 20 minutes of scanning to achieve this amazingly lifelike 3D model ready for CAD/CAM import.
