Futuro

£21.75

The Futuro was an early experiment in prefabricated housing, designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen in the 1960’s. The iconic flying saucer form offered a playfulness rarely seen in "serious" architecture, and although the experiment ultimately failed after the 1973 oil crisis made the materials prohibitively expensive, architects today still explore the ideas pioneered by the Futuro project.
